Rep Power: 0 Lode Runner X

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I'm very excited to present to you a remake of the classic Lode Runner games: Lode Runner X.

While remaining faithful to the original, LRX adds a couple of interesting new objects as your progress through the single player game. Most notably, sliding ice blocks add yet another dimension to the puzzle action in the third of five worlds. In all, you will find nearly 100 single player levels in the game!

The enemy AI in LRX will also keep you on your toes. These guys know all your moves, and they will not stop until they have taken you down. Luckily, they're still agreeable to walking into your mining holes!

You'll also find a great assortment of multiplayer modes in LRX. If you have a more peaceful disposition, you can play levels cooperatively with up to 3 other players over the internet. If your disposition leans toward the more violent side, you'll enjoy battling in a wide array of deathmatch modes that range from King of the Hill to standard "kill 'em all" gameplay types! You can customize every imaginable option in multiplayer to create any kind of game mode you want.

LRX also offers a superb stat-tracking capability. If you register an account at the official LRX site and log in within the game, you will be able to have your stats stored permanently for everyone else to see. You can prove to the world that you did indeed beat your 5 year old sister without dying a single time! Ultimately, you will find close to 50 different multiplayer levels to select from.

If you run out of levels, you don't need to worry; you can download new ones regularly! All it takes is the click of a button; the game will automatically check for new levels (or other occasional updates) and let you download them with ease. You can also use the fully-functional level editor to create your own levels. (I used the editor to create every level in the game!)

Other extra features in LRX include joystick / gamepad support (completely customizeable) and a fun cheat menu; as you complete levels in the single player mode, you gain an increasingly large amount of gold. You can use this gold to buy cheats and defeat those evil enemies once and for all!

Now for some screenshots:

I'd like to thank you for trying my game; I hope you enjoy it. I'm always open to new challengers in multiplayer, by the way!

Download LRX here! (~4MB download)

Rep Power: 717 Cool. I was never much for Loderunner, but I have LAN-buddies who absolutely love it, so we'll be trying the co-op mode out for sure!
