NETWORK PLAY ISSUES

To play a network game of Lode Runner Online, you must have two
machines on the same network that are using the IPX/SPX-compatible
protocol. If you already have an existing network that is not using
this protocol and you would like to add it, just perform the
following steps:

From the Start Menu, select Settings, then Control Panel. From
the Control Panel, select the Network Applet. This will bring up
a dialog that lists all the various network hardware and software
your system is running. To add an "IPX/SPX-compatible Protocol",
you must select the "Add..." button. From the next menu, select
"Protocol", and then "Add...". You will then have to select a
manufacturer and a network protocol. Choose "Microsoft" as the
manufacturer, and then choose "IPX/SPX-compatible Protocol" form
the network protocol list. Finally, select "OK" until all dialogs
have been removed. You may have to insert your Windows 95 CD and
reboot your machine to finish the process.

Once these steps are complete, you should see the "IPX/SPX-compatible
Protocol" listed when you select the Network Applet from the control
panel.

You will need two machines correctly configured on the same network
in order to play. You must select one machine to be the Host for
the game, the other to Join. The Host will be able to select the
Joining machine to play with, and from there a network game may
commence!
