Menu FAQ Version 0.2

This is a short guide to the various menu options in Lode Runner for the
Nintendo DS. Note that this is not a direct translation from the Japanese,
but is based on working out the various menus items by trial and error.

Anything I'm particularly unsure of, I've marked with a question mark. Please
mail me if you have any corrections.

For menu items with multiple options, I've marked the default option with
[square brackets].

--- 1. MAIN MENU --------------------------------------------------------------

Main Menu
|-Single Player
|-Level Editor
|-Scores
|-Options
|-Wireless Mode

--- 2. SINGLE PLAYER ---------------------------------------------------------

Single Player
|-New Game
|-Load Game
|-Puzzle
|-Training Mode

When you exit the game, it will save your current state. If you have a game
saved in this way, selecting new game or load game will first ask if you want
to load the existing game. If you answer no, it will ask you to confirm that
you are okay with the saved state being deleted. Answer yes, and you'll get the
new game or load game menu.

New Game
|-Lode Runner
|-Championship Lode Runner

Load Game will load your saved progress, and let you start on any level you
have reached so far.

Puzzle mode gives you 30 enemy-free puzzle levels to play. You can play these
in any order.

Training mode gives you three sets of tutorial levels to work through. Complete
them all, and the bottom option becomes available. This option allows you to
view a play through of any Lode Runner, Championship Lode Runner or Puzzle
level.

--- 3. LEVEL EDITOR -----------------------------------------------------------

Level Editor Menu
|-Map Size: [14x14]|28x14
|-Show Grid: On|[Off]
|-Test Level (Needs player start)
|-Save

The tool bar at the bottom is, in order:

Player Start
Enemy
Ladder
Exit Ladder
Solid block
Rail
Normal Block
Fake Block
Gold
Empty Tile

--- 4. OPTIONS ----------------------------------------------------------------

Options
|-Game Speed: Slow|[Normal]|Fast
|-Graphic Set: NES|[Set 1]|Set 2
|-Hint mode?: On|[Off]
|-Reset Game (deletes all saves and settings)

I'm unsure about the translation and function of hint mode.

--- 5. WIRELESS ---------------------------------------------------------------

Wireless Mode
|-Wireless Play?
|-Exchange Levels?

--- 6. IN-GAME MENUS ----------------------------------------------------------

|-Resume
|-Restart Level
