           Version 1.0 BETA 30th September 1999
           ----------------------------------------

Quick64! is a Shell Extension utility for Windows. This means
you can either double-click files in Windows Explorer, right-
click them and either play or view it from a context-menu, or
drag a C64 game into Quick64's Viewport to see it's contents.

Quick64! will also remember what game within a D64 you ran last,
and will not prompt for it again when running the game directly
from Windows Explorer.

----------------------------------------------------------------

Quick64! Version 1.0 BETA supports the following emulators to a
certain degree:-

CCS64 v1.09 and v2.0
C64S v2.52
VICE
WinVICE
PC64 Dos and Win
Come Back 64
Win64
Frodo

To set your emulator paths and default emulator, run Quick64!
and right-click anywhere in it's viewport window, then select
"Options..."

----------------------------------------------------------------

There are various ways to use Quick64!. These are outlined
below:-

* Double-click a game in Windows Explorer to view the file's
contents and select an emulator to play it with.

* Right-Click the game in Windows Explorer and select "Play"
from the context menu to play the game using the default
  emulator.

* Right-Click the game in Windows Explorer and select
"Contents..." to view the file's contents and select an
  emulator to play it with.

* Drag a game from Explorer directly into Quick64's Viewport to
view the file's contents and select and emulator to play it
  with.

* Open file's directly from Quick64! by selecting "Open..." from
Quick64's menu (right-click in the viewport).

The first time you run a game directly from explorer (by right-
clicking and selecting "Play"), if the game is either a T64 or
D64, it will load the game into the viewport so you can pick a
starting PRG to run from the file. This will be remembered but
can be changed at any time by simply picking a different PRG at
a later time.

----------------------------------------------------------------

Quick64! supports the following files:-

D64, T64, PRG, P00, LNX, LHA/LZH, GZ, Zipcoded (1!2!3!4!5!)

For LNX, LHA/LZH and GZ archives you need the follwing
files on your %PATH& (e.g. in your windows or command folder)

LNX - Starlynx.exe
LHA/LZH - LHA.exe
GZ - GUNZIP.EXE (or set your Winzip path in options)

ZIP is handled internally by Quick64!.
